Description
English: Flag of Normandy inspired by the nordic flags,created by Jean Adigar des Gautries in 1937 to remember the history of Normandy. This kind of cross is called "St Olaf". Olaf II of Norway was baptised in Rouen in 1014 by Robert (II) the danish, archbishop of Rouen and brother of Richard II of Normandy, Duke of Normandy. Used by the autonomist organisation [1]. The traditional banner of Normandy( French region) is two yellow lions on red.
Français : Drapeau de la Normandie, créé en 1937 par Jean Adigar des Gautries dans le but de rappeler les origines nordique de la Normandie. La croix de Saint Olaf est présente sur l'ensemble des drapeaux des pays nordiques et fait référence à Olaf II de Norvège baptisé en 1014 à Rouen par Robert le danois, frère du duc de Normandie. Il est notamment utilisé le Mouvement normand
